A perfect summer picnic
July 06, 2023
Sunny days are here, and with them come many flavors, scents, and textures for your child to experience outdoors. Perhaps your child is walking barefoot on the grass or in the sand for the first time. Do you remember the first time you tasted something new? Can you recall the scent of fresh summer flowers or sweet fruit? Our friend Zoja in Rissa is enjoying a picnic for the first time! She has put everything in one basket, including our apple rattles, and is on her way to the beach!
This is a fantastic opportunity for Zoja to develop a healthy relationship with food. Fruits, vegetables, and a healthy diet can be a lot of fun, especially when experiencing different textures. At Patti Oslo, we create toys with a purpose. This means we design products that stimulate the senses, allowing your child to explore the world safely. Zoja is exploring differences in color, smell, weight, and texture. In her basket are bananas, apples, and grapes. Perhaps she dreams of opening her own fruit shop!
Zoja is playing with her family and imagining she has a small fruit stand. She groups similar items together and trades fruit for shells (her magical currency!). She weighs the fruits to give people the right amount in exchange for shells and other treasures they've found on the beach. She hears the sound of waves in the background and the gentle bell inside the apple rattles. She quickly shakes all the fruit to check if different fruits make different sounds. Zoja is also stimulating her motor skills.
She makes small piles of sand to place the fruits on. She feels many different textures, and soon everything is covered in sand. It's so much fun to pat the sand with a little water! But there's no need to worry – our products are designed to be functional and practical for parents too. Washing instructions and a laundry bag for the washing machine are included with every toy. This way, Zoja can play and enjoy her day with joy. Her parents can also relax, knowing that the toys will last a long time and are easy to clean.
After a few hours of playing, Zoja gets hungry. Now it's time to eat the real fruit! Her parents help her clear away banana peels and apple cores. Cleaning up after a picnic also teaches children from an early age the importance of not polluting the ocean, reducing waste, and taking care of public places and the environment.
All our collections are made from certified, environmentally responsible materials, without harsh chemicals, dyes, or harmful substances. Sustainability is a core value for us, and our products, with their low environmental impact and durable materials, are made to last for generations. We want to inspire others to reduce waste.
The sun is setting soon, so it's time for Zoja to go home. She has had a wonderful day and learned a lot about fruit. Maybe she will return to the beach next week to create new games and memories with our latest summer collection.

HURRAY, HURRAY, IT'S MAY 17TH!
May 17, 2023
In Norway, we celebrate Constitution Day on May 17th. On Norway's most special day, we celebrate Norwegian culture and history, and it is also Children's Day, full of festivities and events specifically created for the little ones! As a tribute to this day, we at Patti Oslo have created a short story to show you how Bea Bunny, one of our organic plush toys, celebrates May 17th with her family!
Bea Bunny lives with her family in Grünerløkka, Oslo. Now that the snow has melted and we are enjoying long and sunny days, this lively neighborhood has a green park where Bea plays, and today he is looking forward to going out! However, the celebration already begins at home with a delicious traditional breakfast of waffles! No May 17th breakfast is complete without waffles with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and cream, in the same colors as the Norwegian flag!
The table is decorated with flowers and decorations in the national colors. Unlike other days, Bea is dressed in her finest clothes from the morning onwards! Her mother is wearing a bunad, which is Norway's traditional costume. Her bunad is a vibrant blue, but bunads come in many different colors representing different regions of Norway!
After everyone has eaten, they head to the city center and the main street of the capital, Karl Johan. In the year's biggest parade, people gather with flags, shouting: “Hurrah! Hurrah!” Bea hopes to see the royal family on their way to the Palace. They wave to all the people who have come to watch the parade. There are brass bands playing music, and children also participate in the parade, waving flags and singing. Bea had never seen so many people cheering together before! He jumps onto his dad’s shoulders to get a better view.
When the parade is over, Bea and his family walk around the city, because the festivities have only just begun. There is still so much to do! Just a few meters away, on Karl Johan, he meets Goldie Giraffe, Luna Lamb, and Kenni Koala eating ice cream!
Bea is delighted to see all the children gathering in the parks to play board games, dance, sing, and eat hot dogs and ice cream! The streets are filled with music as the marching bands continue to parade through town, and the day is brilliantly sunny! He jumps around and plays with the other children until it's time to go home. He's happy because he's eaten good food, the weather was fantastic, and he also made new friends today!
Bea and his family arrive home after a day filled with play, laughter, and new friends. He's already looking forward to the next May 17th – the best day to be a child!

Introducing the new Patti Oslo website: a journey through sustainability, craftsmanship, and Nordic minimalism
May 04, 2023
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new website at Patti Oslo! After months of hard work and dedication, we are proud to share our brand’s new look and feel with you.
These years of designing unique products have helped us decide to revamp our website so we can better convey our values and priorities as a small, sustainable business. Our desire to inspire people to make conscious choices needed a platform that explains this more clearly, while also being easy to use and understand. Let's take a closer look at some of the new features on our website.
Our Story
A deep need to tell our story to those who support us is behind the decision to renew our website. We wanted to better convey the soul, work, and future dreams of this small, sustainable brand.
I understood the value of craftsmanship after moving to Oslo, a city with a calm vitality and long traditions in crafts and and design. Living in Oslo made me appreciate the meaning of Nordic minimalism and lifestyle. I decided to combine modern design with the traditional crochet technique. This is how our soft cuddly toys came to be!
Organic, soft cotton toys
The new website not only tells our story but also has a dedicated section for our handmade cotton toys.
Discover the new area dedicated to our soft toys. Explore our Spring Summer 23 collection with new products, including musical cot mobile, ice cream rattles, pram garlands, and much more. You will also find our signature designs: soft lambs, cuddly rabbits, teddy bears, cat, elephant, and baby toys. Our large family of animal toys is made to bring your baby comfort and joy for many years.
Adapted language
Another important reason for creating our new website was the desire to use more appropriate language to better explain our values. We wanted to convey more clearly what we stand for and to communicate more effectively about our commitment to sustainability, transparency, and ethical working conditions. Our new website is designed to raise greater awareness about sustainability, and we hope to achieve this goal through a platform where we can share our values with you.
Craftsmanship
We want to show you the important team behind our brand.
On our new website, you will find a section that highlights our handmade, soft toys and the talented women who bring them to life. We wanted to tell the story of how we met them, how the collaboration began, and how this exciting adventure with them started.
We believe in preserving traditional craftsmanship, and we are proud to support these skilled artisans in Turkey through ethical working conditions and economic independence.
Scandinavian minimalism and colors
As a Norwegian brand, Scandinavian minimalism, colours, and nature are our main sources of inspiration, both for our collections and for the new website.
We wanted to recreate the same minimalism and aesthetics on the website. We have chosen colours that convey a sense of calm and harmony, reflecting the Scandinavian essence of our brand. Our new website is simple and elegant. It mirrors the Nordic soul while providing our customers with a more seamless user experience.
The new website is an expression of our commitment to quality and our dedication to providing our customers with the best possible experience. We look forward to taking you on a journey through our values, our craftsmanship, and our commitment to sustainability.
We invite you to explore our new website and discover the beauty and uniqueness of our handmade organic cotton toys, as well as the values we stand for.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of the Patti Oslo community. We look forward to sharing our journey with you and continuing to create beautiful, sustainable, and ethically produced products that can last for generations.
